Giving Back

We have been on the Board of Directors and have had significant committee involvement in  Jewish Community Services(JCS) of South Florida for over 20 years. JCS is one of the largest social service agencies in the Southeast and the most comprehensive Jewish-sponsored social service agency in Florida, serving more than 33,000 clients annually and offers services and programs in (a) Behavioral Health (b) Kosher Food (c) Rehabilitation and Employment and (d) Senior Adult Services, including Senior Kosher Meals on Wheels. JCS reaches out to all who are in need ? the unemployed and underemployed, the homeless and near homeless, immigrants, the frail elderly, individuals with physical and developmental challenges, families in crisis, those struggling with addictions, at-risk youth, victims of domestic violence, and neglected and abused children. We have been on various subcommittees of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation and participated in its annual Super Sunday Community Phonathon of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation  for over 20 years.The purpose of this event is to raise funds for the Federation/UJA Campaign, to help Jews in need in Miami, in Israel and in 60 countries around the world.

 

We have been on the board and served as an officer of  The Beth David Congregation & co-chaired the Board of Directors of the The Gordon Schools of Beth David.  http://www.bethdavidmiami.org/

  

In the past, we have walked in the annual Walk Now for Autism event which is a fundraising event that occurs each year the purpose of which, is to raise awareness of autism and funds for research.

We have personally supported these organizations with time, commitment  and contributions.
