Florida Medicaid Alert for Changes in Ownership

On April 1, 2021, it was announced that certain Florida Healthcare facilities , as defined, are no longer required to submit a new Medicaid application when Change in Ownership form,(CHOW) occurs to the Agency for Health Care Administration(AHCA). A Proof of Financial Ability to Operate is often required to be included, when a Change in Ownership occurs. The Proof of Financial Ability to Operate is a comprehensive analysis, that includes a two year and 24 month financial projection and demonstrates the viability of the applicant and must be submitted to AHCA.
